Innovative device to objectively measure genital sensitivity

A research group, led by Dr. Jasmine Abdulcadir at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). The research group is developing a device for better diagnosis and treatment of FGM/C. The project has been selected for the Leenaards Science Price.

The group is working to gain a better understanding of female genital sensitivity – a topic for which objective scientific measurements are severely lacking. This research group is developing a connected device that will be easy for women to use on their own and could substantially improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients who have suffered genital mutilation or trauma.
